This dry, textural and savoury rosato shows aromas of rhubarb, roses and wild strawberries with lift from pink grapefruit, and has a soft and supple grip.

Chalmers Rosato is handpicked from the Chalmers Heathcote vineyard on soils of basalt, shale, sandstone, dolerite, quartz and limestone, at an altitude of 210 - 225m. This 2022 is 63% Aglianico, 20% Nero d'Avola and 17% Sagrantino. The vines were imported by Chalmers in 2000 & 2001 andf the first Rosato produced by Chalmers in 2009. The grapes are whole bunch-pressed and wild fermented in stainless steel. The Aglianico is aged in chestnut botte and old barriques and the Nero d'Avola and Sagrantino in stainless steel. Six months on lees, and underwent partial malolactic fermentation. Vegan friendly.
