9x 2021 William Pile Cabernet (RRP $75)

A modern Coonawarra classic, bursting with blackcurrant, dried herbs, espresso, and cedary oak. Silky yet structured, with layers of chalky tannins that make it both rich and refined. With 95 Points from Wine Orbit and 93 Points from Wine Pilot, this single-vineyard stunner was crafted from a stellar vintage, matured for 21 months in French oak, and will drink beautifully now or evolve until 2036.

2x 2016 Captain D Bruce Cabernet (RRP $135)

A bold, beautifully matured Cabernet that has spent two years in French oak, adding layers of cake spice, cigar box, charcuterie, and mocha. The palate is opulent, with fine tannins and a seamless, expansive finish. With 96 Points from both Wine Orbit & Wine Showcase, and 94 Points from Wine Pilot, six years on, it’s hitting its peak but still has a long life ahead, drinking beautifully now through 2033.

This is Coonawarra Cabernet at its most complex and brooding. With 96 Points from Wine Orbit, deep crème de cassis, vanilla, cigar spice, and warm oak, it’s a multi-layered masterpiece that has developed remarkable depth and persistence over the past decade. Tannins are refined and beautifully integrated, making this an absolute collector’s gem.
