Certified organic fruit from three of Palliser’s vineyards forms the backbone of this finely tuned estate blend. Abundant cherry and plum with cocoa powder, spice, dried herbs, pretty florals and a touch of smoky oak. Silky and juicy with good balance and freshness, this an elegant regional expression.

The 2023 Pinot Noir Estate is light, bright and open. Uncomplicated and unpretentious, it is ready for drinking from the start. This is an atypical vintage, perhaps not as savory or rich as usual, but with 230 mm of rain just before harvest, it is a miracle this wine was even made.

The 2023 Pinot Noir leads with cherry and strawberry, and on the palate, the acidity is pronounced. It becomes a feature of the wine and distracting to the fruit. The fruit weight is good, especially given the cool and wet season that was 2023, but the acidity makes it feel awkward in the mouth. 13% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
