They’ve been making Lodge Hill Riesling since 1986, from vines planted in 1979. The vineyard is at 480 metres, (very) high in Clare Valley terms. Flavour with the face of elegance. A pure expression of region and variety, as if they were one and the same. Lemon and lime, some florals, some talc, some texture. Easy-does-it, and yet there’s more than enough intensity here. For drinking, for keeping, it’s up to you. This is a wine in a good place.
