Product Highlights
In wine, timing rarely favours the patient. This is the exception.
This Pinot Noir comes from one of Australia's highest vineyard sites, planted in 1993 high in the mountains of Tumbarumba, NSW, at around 650 metres above sea level. Fewer than one in a hundred Australian vineyards sit this high. The nights are cold, the season is long, and the fruit is asked to earn its ripeness slowly. It is a site that has quietly supplied grapes for two of Penfolds' icon releases and Hardys' top-tier wines.
Behind it stands one of Australia's most decorated cool-climate winemakers, a man whose trophy cabinet has been built on restraint rather than scale: guide the fruit, don't dominate it. Campbell Mattinson awarded this 2025 vintage 95 points, drawn to its cherry-plum fruit, violets, autumnal leaves, sweet spices and a waft of smoked cedar. His words: it's the goods.
Secured before its reputation, and its $70 RRP, caught up with it.
