Semillon (91%), clairette (6%) and grenache gris (3%), oh my! A curious wine, it feels heavier and breathier than the alcohol on the label, there’s a width to the wine too, and the finish a little soapy and glossy in a distracting kind of way. It feels like a wine that might be better with way more time when it softens up and gets more honeyed, though acidity feels soft too, so the gamble is on. Apricot, cashew, lemon oil, ginger going on. Curious, indeed.
