Product Highlights

If the Hunter Valley is the Semillon capital of the world, this mystery vineyard is the jewel in the crown.

Honestly, the urge to shout the name behind this wine is almost impossible to resist. The brand. The estate. The vineyard. The winemaker. We want to tell you everything.

But we can't.
Not yet.
The reason will be obvious the moment you crack open the box.

What we can tell you: this is the Hunter's beating heart. A 5-star winemaking powerhouse. A winemaker regarded as one of the region's true artisans.

There's a stretch of Hermitage Road in the Hunter Valley where the Semillon vineyards are so good they have their own nickname - the Dress Circle. Neighbours include Tyrrell's HVD and Andrew Thomas' Braemore. This flagship comes from right in the thick of it. Lemon zest, neroli, bracing acidity and a lees-built texture that make this better than your everyday Hunter Semillon.

This label has always paid homage to the best single vineyard sites available to it. Braemore. Trevena, a 100-year-old Semillon plot. And now, this one.

Young and vivid, it's as intense as a Matisse. Citrus and lemongrass up front, ginger and fresh moss underneath, with wet stone and chalk from the ancient limestone soils running right through it.

Give it 10 to 20 years and something magical happens. It softens. It turns supple. Buttered toast, barley, crème brûlée. If you're the type who likes to lay Semillon down, this is the candidate you've been waiting for. It's drinking beautifully now, but the patient will be rewarded.
