Halliday 95

Tasting Notes

Very pale luminescent green color and brilliant in the glass. The wine opens up with a nose that is intensely floral with lifted citrus, citrus blossom, lemon zest, wet stones and sea spray. The palate is equally intense with a focussed core of lemon and lime, lemon curd, crunchy white peach and pithy grapefruit followed by hints of oyster shell and a fine slatey line. All is framed by delicate spicy oak and driven by fine talcy acidity.

Product Highlights

“Bright and pure… white peach and grapefruit, oak already well integrated. Terrific purity and vibrant, balanced acidity. Absolutely overdelivers at the price.” - Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion.

If the Estate is the statement, this is the everyday luxury. Crisp and lively, packed with white peach and citrus, gliding into a gentle nutty finish.

All estate-grown and barrel-fermented with the same care as its big sibling, this wine nails that balance between creamy texture and cool-climate freshness.

It’s the kind of Chardonnay you open midweek and think, “Maybe I should’ve saved this for Saturday.”
