A combo of Willoughby Bridge Vineyard and Chalmers Vineyard from Heathcote, labelled for the parish of Colbinabbin. Supreme charm here, levity and freshness, pluck and vigour, red fruits and sweet spices and amaro-like herbal elements. You’d drink a bottle in under the time it takes to boil eggs. It’s a ripper, ripe yet fresh, cool yet red-bellied, red-jellied red that finds wonderful balance and quiet complexity, effortlessly, or so it feels. A faint sheath of lacy, bitter almond tannin lending just enough shape and pucker. Add a chill and watch it fly. Righteous gluggability.
