Tasting Notes

Elegance and perfume define this wine: aromas of yellow fruit, green apple, lychee and stone fruit. There's also a hint of butter and vanilla on the finish. Softly textured, the palate is bursting with tropical fruit and racy acidity. An ideal match to pippies, seafood and grilled chicken.

Enjoyable French wine

"It tastes like a Sauv Blanc but the Marsanne adds some depth and complexity. Really enjoying this."

Chris S. (4/5)

What a surprise!!!

"Lovely drop, and as much as I really like French Sav’s, I just love the overriding flavour of the Marsanne. Great buy and fabulous wine."

Loraine A. (5/5)

Unusual blend has interest

"Not as textural as a more traditional Marsanne blended with something like Roussanne or Viognier. However, the Sauv Blanc is more restrained than the NZ interpretation, so this was a light-ish, fresh wine on a warm evening."

Jason W. (4/5)

One for the purists

"So much to enjoy about this wine. Forget the grassy herbacious NZ SBs… this is full of flavour without the bite!"

Ian M. (4/5)

French Pefection

"It is very hard to replicate this type of wine in Australia. I like it a great deal."

Michael W. (5/5)

La Taur Marsanne Sauvignon Blanc 2024

"Bright, fresh and lively Spring/Summer white. Full of passionfruit and honeydew melon flavours with a nice drying finish that leaves you wanting the next sip. Great option for those looking for a change-up to the usual NZ Sauv Blanc tipple."

Adam L. (5/5)

Interesting!

"Very French - Marsanne predominates. Drinks well as an aperitif, goes nicely with pate, rillettes, other French delicacies."

Richard R. (4/5)

White wine

"Not tried yet. Resting in the cellar"
