The 2023 Three Wishes Vineyard Pinot Noir, like the Chardonnay of the same vintage, is composed, restrained and long, and it lingers on the palate well after the wine has gone. The fruit is a touch more savory than the 2024 Pinot Noir from the same vineyard tasted alongside, but this is not just a factor of one being a year older than the other, rather, the slightly cooler conditions of the 2023 vintage as compared to 2024 have imparted character and shape on the fruit. This is wholly composed and fine, long and spicy. The acidity remains a feature in all of these wines, and it stitches together the various elements in the mouth. It's also chalky. This is an excellent wine. 13% alcohol, sealed under Diam and wax.

Tom Kline - Winepilot

This is intriguing in its complexity, restraint, and suave personality. The nose is initially demure, with subtle notes of blood plum skin and persimmon giving way to cassia bark, nutmeg, and star anise. Red currant and clove-studded orange follow, alongside hints of cherry pie and subtle whole bunch character. It’s complex and alluring, with a Burgundian sense of restraint that draws you in. The palate is velvety and finely textured, with a gentle bunchy grip. Plum, rhubarb, tangy dark cherry, and woody spice are layered with blood orange, clove, and star anise. Tannins are supple yet ample, framing the fruit and brown spice notes and guiding the wine to a long, composed finish. Delicious.
