Constantly impressed with these from the Turbul range. Golden colour in the glass. Punchy aromas. Rose water, cloves, coriander seeds, cherry pip, fennel. The wine has a strong medicinal core, the aromas and flavours are honeyed, but not sweet at all—everything flows with gignery spice and herbaceous bitterness. There’s texture and traction that make the flavour settle in for a long time in your taste buds. Not for all, but those who like intense, medicinal-herbaceous tones and texture will like it a lot.

This lacks the freshness the others in the Turbul range have and has a slight bronze tinge to the light gold hue. There’s still some enjoyment from flavours of candied orange peel, a hint of grilled pineapple and unsweetened apricot juice, yet this is most definitely savoury, with very grippy tannins to close.
