Another excellent medium-bodied delight from Mount Pleasant, this Rosehill Shiraz lands in the pleasure zone with supreme ease. After a few days of tasting, the tension and focus highlight its ageing potential. A blend of the two Rosehill plantings (1946 & 1965), dark cherries and red cherries are partnered by blueberries and boysenberries. Medium-bodied as you'd expect, dark chocolate dust, a little cola and a delightful savoury drive with a host of dried herbs bring the splendour. Powdery tannins surge and shine on a fabulously lengthy finish. All class.

Medium weight, supple and succulent, a sense of density and concentration, quite sweet-fruited with a core of black olive, ginger biscuit, sage leaf, aniseed and choc-liquorice. Feels dense but sits high in the palate, satiny and then a fine trill of grainy, tensing tannins. Indeed, tannin quality is great here. Almost a pinosity to this wine too. Great charm.
