At first, this smelt like a lime daiquiri with freshly squeezed lime juice and salty lemon, all very appealing, then the varietal flavours come into play. Pear skin and Golden Delicious apple, freshly sliced quinces and a slip of lemon-curd-like lees. The palate is tight and zippy, with a thirst-quenching saline character complemented by the light tug of phenolics.

The nose is floral and lifted, with aromas of orange blossoms, lemon balm, orange pith and chalk. The palate is vibrant and generous with energetic acidity, giving notes of candied limes, grapefruit pith and mandarins. Very racy and fresh with underlying power.
