2023 Denton Chardonnay

Here is where Denton View Hill Vineyard sits, overlooking the valley with breathtaking views and neighbours like Mount Mary, Tarrawarra, and Yarra Yering. It’s no wonder many have opined this as the Yarra’s own ‘grand cru’; a unique meeting place of site, soil and geology, where magic happens in the vines. It’s little wonder that Yarra local James Halliday has rated Denton a Five-Star ‘Outstanding’ Vineyard.

We are talking Yarra Valley through and through, bursting with ripe stone fruits, ginger spice, and white flowers over a mineral-driven, saline backbone. Whole-bunch pressed and fermented wild in seasoned and new French puncheons, this is textural, refined, and layered. Halliday’s Philip Rich calls it “another excellent Denton Chardonnay.” Consistently one of the best in the region, giving it 96 points.
