Enticing aromas of violets, blackberries, forest berries, damp earth and wood with just a hint of raspberry leaf and mint. The palate is full bodied yet such beautiful tannins shape this elegantly as it lengthens to a persistent finish. One of the finest cabernet francs on the market.

Kasia Sobiesiak - The Wine Front

Hi all! I just came back from the Margaret River Wine Show with some extra time touring around (hence a bit quiet these days on the wine front) and thought I need to share some notes from the judging bench. To kick off, this wine just received the Hahn Corporation Trophy for Best Alternate Red. Tasted in a lineup of 36 2023 & 2024 other red blends & varietals. It was a personal favourite. Here’s my blind note. Blue fruit with raspberries. It’s bloody, meaty, with a dark core, dark amaro feel, iodine and violet pastille. Beauty and the beast. The tannins are stony with graphite element, the finish is powdery. There’s lovely purple fruit here making for an aromatic palate. It’s a wine of beautiful power and savoury theme. Delicious.

Decanter

Gentle, attractive aromas of ripe dark fruits, wet earth and vegetal notes. Sturdy and firm with a hint of bitterness. Needs time. Judges: Dirceu Vianna Junior MW, Eugenio Egorov, Roger Jones
