"A wine that I have enjoyed often in the past - is it losing a bit of freshness? I found it not as attractive this time around. Still enjoyable, just not as much as before."
Our obsession with Elena Brooks continues. When making wine, it's all about understanding your customer. And Elena gets it. She makes wines that people love. Wines of heart and soul, that simply taste GOOD. No excessive oak or harsh tannins. Just a whole lot of flavour at a ridiculous price.
She’s wowed us with her work at Dandelion and Heirloom Vineyards and now she's wowed us all with this latest vintage of Sister's Run Babylon Block Chardonnay.
In a word? Fun. That's how we'd describe the Babylon Block Chardonnay 2022. It's designed for easy drinking. Nothing too complicated, just a good wine for a good time. And guess what? This edition of Babylon Block is made exclusively for The Wine Collective.
Sure, we could get into the intricate details; the aromas of white stone fruits, layered with honeysuckle and layered with subtle nuances of oak, but that would be missing the point.
This isnt supposed to be pretentious, or a wine for deep conversation. Elena Brooks has mastered the art of the mid-week glass, and this Chardonnay captures everything that people love in a rich, bountiful flavoured Chardonnay. Nothing more to add, really.
