Beautiful aromatics on this wine. You almost don't have to drink it to enjoy it! But you would miss out on the silky palate, the generous length and point perfect balance.

This vineyard is typically a warm site, but the cooler 2021 vintage has given the wine a lifted, ethereal perfume more characteristic of the “Up Hill” sites. On the palate too, it is red rather than black cherry, with lively fruit, delicate acid and fine lingering tannins which give the wine great persistence.

Wonderful aromatics with this vintage across the board, but especially off the Robinson vineyard. Swooning stuff with rosehip, cherries, baking spices, blood orange and glacé citrus too; complex and detailed with forest floor and general autumnal aromas. The just shy of full-bodied palate is still settling with the tannins and acidity jostling for pole position. Give this breathing space or more time in bottle.

Here’s to you Mrs Robinson. Jesus loves you, and I do too. It’s all ozone, petrichor, or more strangely like a train set battery that’s run too hard. Red cherry, raspberry, fine raspy tannin, raspberry pip and cranberry acidify, bony and tight, a little brown sugar, and orange peel. Excellent length. Discreetly complex. Great to drink.
