Stunning value here in this fine Cabernet from the Great Southern. Near black/magenta in colour, there is fine focus, class, elegance and power. The flavours weave through aniseed, cloves, coffee beans, chocolate and especially blackcurrants with very fine tannins and great length. Has many years ahead of it, at which time the few shekels you shelled out now will look like an extraordinary bargain.

There's a chocolatey film over this ripe, berry-filled Cab. Coffee bean, pencil lead and peppery spice fill in the gaps. The palate starts with a rush of fruit flavor. Chiseled, chalk dust tannins sneak in. They're a touch astringent and all-encompassing, but this nevertheless shows a sense of place and variety. Protein required.
