Stuart Knox - The Real Review

Deep purple colour in the glass. Sweet cherry, dry herb and ironstone aromas. Medium in weight, dark-cherry fruit fills the core whilst an iodine minerality and dried herbs bring character and complexity. The tannins have a persistence to them, which counterbalances the fruit sweetness and that tension carries it long to a dry finish. Food will bring out more in it as well

Jeni Port - Halliday Wine Companion

De-stemmed, open ferment in tubs, mix of inoculated and wild yeasts, matured in Flexcube for 8 months on lees. The Northern Italian grape variety lives up to its peppery personality reputation, with lifted pink peppercorn, briar, spice and violet aromatics joining ripe black fruits in a wine that is just so drinkable and approachable. Lovely texture with the use of Flexcube allowing the fruit full sway. Supple with savoury tannins to close.

Campbell Mattinson - The Wine Front

Well this is something. It’s both floral and alive with woodsy/exotic spice and while light-ish it’s well-enough (red) fruited to keep everyone happy. What I particularly like about this wine is its length; the trail of spice and gun smoke-like flavours out through the finish is as significant as it is alluring. Basically it’s just a gorgeous red wine to drink.
