A single vineyard site in Mornington that is a little cooler than the other spots in the Paringa stable. This creates wines of great finesse and wonderful structure. World beating wines.
A single vineyard site in Mornington that is a little cooler than the other spots in the Paringa stable. This creates wines of great finesse and wonderful structure. World beating wines.
This vineyard is typically a warm site, but the cooler 2021 vintage has given the wine a lifted, ethereal perfume more characteristic of the “Up Hill” sites. On the palate too, it is red rather than black cherry, with lively fruit, delicate acid and fine lingering tannins which give the wine great persistence.

Jane Faulkner - Halliday Wine Companion
A pale yet bright ruby hue and a beguiling fragrance to follow, with brambly fruit, red cherries and pips, Middle Eastern spices, pepper and whiff of warm earth. Lot of finesse across the palate, with tangy acidity more in charge than the light raw-silk tannins, which means it’s also very refreshing.

Campbell Mattinson - The Wine Front
It’s more about complexity than power and that’s not a bad thing. Undergrowth and sweet spice characters drive the personality of this wine, beet, cranberry and red cherry flavours filling it out. There’s a smoky, reductive edge and it works both as a complexing agent but also in helping to tighten the wine. Paringa Estate delivers once again.
