Jean de Cornuaud is the winemaker at Beausejour Becot, and the 9th generation of this family to run this estate. Located on classic Fronsac limestone, and you get an excellent zip and a kick as it steps across the palate, a ton of pleasure to the blueberry and raspberry fruits. Held back at this point, but juicy and easy to recommend.

This is a solid red from this appellation with dark blackberries and spices on the nose and palate. Full and flavorful. Velvety tannins. Points: 91-92

This has aromas of dried herbs, blackberries, bark and crushed stones. Fresh and mineral with a medium body and firm, powdery tannins. Balanced. Better in 2025.

Decanter

Sweet tannins – this is easy to approach with a juicy mid palate. Runs a bit short at the finish but overall provides pleasant and easy-drinking. Hand harvested grapes, fermentation with indigenous yeasts and 24 months ageing divided between concrete, stainless-steel vats and oak barrels.
