2020 Argiano Rosso di Montalcino DOC

VINIFICATION: 

Pre-fermentative cold maceration, spontaneous fermentation and maceration on the skins for 10 days in steel tanks at controlled temperature to enhance freshness and fruity notes.

 AGING: French oak barrel (10-50 Hl) for a few months.

VINTAGE: 

Warm winter, rain showers were not frequent but sufficient for groundwater requirements. The months of June and July were perfect, characterized by some rain and a beautiful temperature range. In late July and early August, there were some very hot weeks: the vineyards reacted very well without going into water stress. A rainfall at the end of summer allowed maintaining a gradual and homogeneous maturation.
