Château Quintus, a new icon on the Right Bank Domaine Clarence Dillon purchased a superb Saint-Emilion estate in 2011, then a neighbouring property in 2013 and a third in 2021. These three exceptional vineyards now form a 45-hectare estate that produces one of Saint-Emilion's Grand Vin wines. The Gallo-Romans who planted the vineyards of Saint-Emilion used to name their fifth child Quintus (fifth). Domaine Clarence Dillon has therefore decided to pay tribute to its glorious ancestors by renaming the vineyard Château Quintus. Le Dragon de Quintus is the second wine of the estate. The name originates from the dragon statue that towers above the magical terroir of Saint-Emilion, perched high upon the promontory, where the estate is located.
