Tasting Notes

Dark purple with red-black hues. Compelling and elegant aromas of cassis, fresh plum and bay leaf roll from the glass, mingling with other classic varietal Cabernet Sauvignon characters like cedar pencil shavings and freshly cut grass. Intense cassis, sour cherry and savoury dried herbs, with a powder-fine tannin structure that pulls blackcurrant long through the palate. This wine has finesse and elegance.

Product Highlights

Nearly 10-year-old Cabernet from an iconic cool-climate Victorian institution that any wine collector or wine obsessive will spot in a heartbeat.

Cassis, plum, bay leaf, that classic varietal profile you expect, now with that time in the cellar beautifully mellowing the tannins and adding earthy complexity.

The tannins are still fine but firm, the fruit still driving, everything in place to evolve slowly over time.

Right now, it’s elegant and structured.

The estate sees this ageing another decade easily. In another 5 to 10 years, you’re looking at something far more layered, savoury, and complex.
