Listrac - Medoc is a real gem of a location on the left bank, tucked in between big hitter appellations St Julien and Margaux. the tannin layers really characterise this cabernet led blend. But there's more to it, in the form of cedar, tobacco and a good dose of cassis and mint.

Good depth to the flavours here, with some rich cassis notes – although the mid palate is a touch challenging to navigate. Impressive handling of this wine; the winemakers are clearly not afraid to go for classic, sculpted, elegant menthol and charcoal notes, without trying to over extract to make up for the shortfall in riper fruit notes. The result is that this wine will be a charming early to medium drinker, with lots to enjoy over the next five to 15 years.
