2014 Parusso Bussia Vigna Munie Riserva

The history of the Parusso family has evolved over 120 years, from a family of farmers to a family of vintners. Parusso wines continue to garner international acclaim while remaining true to tradition, family values, and ultimately respect for the land that has been in their family for over 100 years. Today, Parusso is run by the fourth and fifth generations of the family. The Parusso vineyards are located just a few kilometers south west of Alba in the Cuneo province of Piemonte. The vineyards stretch over 28 hectares of land with parcels in Monforte d’Alba and Castiglione Falletto. In the best years, they produce two “gold” Riservas from their cru Bussia: Barolo Bussia Riserva Oro Vigna Rocche & Barolo Bussia Riserva Oro Vigna Munie. The Riservas are always released after 10 years. Barolo Bussia Riserva “Etichetta Oro” Vigna Munie is born from a careful selection of nebbiolo grapes from the prestigious Vigna Munie of Bussia cru in Monforte d’Alba. This Riserva is able to give extraordinary emotions by presenting a large structure following its long aging in the cellar. Tasting notes Intense notes of ripe fruit, black cherry and plum mix with slight hints of toasted wood, leaving ample space for more deep fragrances of blackberries, wildflowers, mint and cocoa.
