Collection: Pommery

Champagne Pommery was founded in 1856 by Alexandre Louis Pommery, after he retired as a successful wool trader. Sadly, he died only a couple of years later, but his widow, Louise Pommery, took the reins. Under her guidance she steered the fledgling Champagne house to commercial success. Soon Pommery was one of the region's largest Champagne brands, and was the first house to commercialise a brut Champagne in 1874. Today, Pommery owns and operates 255 hectares of vineyards, with access to almost 2000 additional hectares from other sites. To honour the heritage of the house, a Cuvee Louise is produced in exceptional years from three grand cru vineyards in Avize, Cramant and Ay.
