Elena Penna-Currado-Vietti remains, with husband Luca, very much in charge at the Vietti winery in Castiglione Falletto. In 2020, Elena decided to delve into her own family’s past creating Langa Liquori, with the first release, Elena Gin. Made in a dry London Langa style, it is distilled in two restored 18th century wood-fired pot stills, in the traditional one-shot process whereby the botanicals are distilled with the pure wheat spirit, while the herbs undergo a single infusion and percolation.
