Josephine has done her fair share of fluttering around the globe tasting the odd drop. Studying her degree in Oenology by correspondence, it has given her the opportunity to travel abroad extensively. Jo spent the last seven years managing two wineries in Spain plus consulting to a winery in the Canary Islands. Prior to running with the bulls, she completed many a vintage throughout France (Burgundy, Bordeaux and the Rhone Valley), plus harvests in California, New Zealand, about Australia. In between fluttering around, she still has had time to return home to take part in the Australian Wine Show judging system. Now Jo is back on home turf, focusing on her own label of natural wines, Dormilona (“Lazy bones”) and her consulting business Perryscope Wine solutions. She runs her own “micro” winery in Margaret River, offers small batch winemaking to clients and is currently working towards becoming certified biodynamic winery.
