Collection: Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most widely planted grape varieties in the world, and the South Australian region of Coonawarra has perfect conditions for its ultimate expression.

Imagine a red wine with all the elegance and structure of a European drop, yet the fruit punchiness, ripeness and concentration of Aussie wines. That’s Coonawarra Cabernet.

The iron-rich terra rossa soils of this region help produce Cab Sav that is truly outstanding. They’re so good, in fact, that they stand up to the greatest in the world.

These wines are powerful, rich and complex, and have all the classic Cab flavours of blackberry, cassis, cherry and mint. On the savoury side, expect tobacco and dusty herb notes as well.

It’s not unusual to find bottles of Coonawarra Cabernet that can be cellared for up to 20 years. However, there are also plenty of approachable bottles that are made to drink now.

Hungry? The ideal food match for these wines is anything just as big and hearty. A flame grilled steak sizzling off the BBQ, slow roasted lamb, or a vintage cheddar & caramelised onion toastie will hit the spot.
