Collection: Chateau Roubine

The vineyard of Château Roubine, bordered by a natural circus of pines and oaks, is located in the heart of the Var between Verdon and the Mediterranean. 'Roubine' means brook in Provençal, referencing the small stream that runs through the property. Known since the early 14th century, Château Roubine was owned by the Knights Templar before being sold in 1307 to the order of Saint John of Jerusalem. In the 15th century, Château Roubine became the pride of various great Provencal families. Through inheritance, in 1923, Château Roubine returns to Henri de Rohan Chabot who entrusted it to the Ott family. Valérie Rousselle Var, native of St Tropez, became owner Château Roubine in 1994. The estate then began a new page in its history. To achieve harmony with nature, sustainable agriculture is at the heart of this vineyard. An environmental approach, present at each stage of production, is in keeping with the natural environment and its balance. Château Roubine has been certified organic since 2008.
