Le Clos de l'Oratoire, located on the north-eastern hillside of Saint-Emilion, covers an area of some 13 hectares. Its molasse terroir of Fronsac, composed of a sandy underlayer and a clayey subsoil, is particularly suitable for Merlot, present at 80% in the grape variety.
Meticulous work is carried out throughout the seasons, in order to preserve all the qualities of this vineyard.
Vinification takes place only in thermoregulated wooden vats. A noble, living material, wood is in perfect osmosis with the wine, offering it the possibility of developing its full potential in color and flavor.
Each vat is treated according to its characteristics, based on low temperatures, with very slow punching down work... all this with constant respect for the raw material.
