"CHAMPAGNE PRODUCER OF THE YEAR", MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL WINE COMPETITION 2017
"SPARKLING PRODUCER OF THE YEAR", SOMMELIER WINE AWARDS 2017

The House of Lanson was founded in 1760 by Francois Delamotte, making it one of the oldest of the Grand Marque Champagne houses. The House of Lanson has always blended its champagnes using a majority of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in order to achieve the perfect balance of power and finesse. The freshness and energy that are key to the Lanson style are closely linked to the House's historic commitment to using a traditional winemaking method, without malolactic fermentation.

The wines from the different plots are vinified separately. Over the course of the tastings, they are appreciated and classified by family of aromas. The blend is the art of obtaining a wine greater than the sum of the first. The range of flavors and the talent of the Chef de Caves, Hervé Dantan , lead to an ideal balance between fruity, elegance and freshness. To the richness of the grape varieties and Crus is added that of the years. The addition of reserve wines helps magnify the quality of young wines. Thus, non-vintage Cuvées are composed of reserve wines of more than ten different years and bloom in Cellar at least three long years. The Vintage Cuvées take the time to ripen and continue to develop extraordinary aromas far beyond. Lanson wines travel ideally through time.
