Tasting Notes

TA beautiful, full-bodied Chardonnay from a single vineyard block, wild-fermented in barrel and only lightly filtered before bottling to keep the wine as close to the vineyard as possible. Bright nectarine and zippy citrus lead the charge, with lovely weight, texture and savoury complexity building through the palate. Generous, expressive and wonderfully alive.

This is just the second vintage ever of this Two Brothers Chardonnay from winemaker Ben Gould - the maverick young gun behind Margaret River’s esteemed Blind Corner - that stole the hearts, minds and senses of the TWC Tasting Panel.

The sensational waves of flavour and the perfectionist attention to detail that produced that flavour had everyone in the tasting room totally enraptured.

Let me count the ways: single-block vineyard, premium GinGin Chardonnay clone, low cropped to three tonnes per hectare, hand-picked, wild yeast fermented, held in seasoned French oak, extended time in concrete-egg… you get the idea. Simply, wow!
