Despite its age, this is still a tight, zesty semillon with attractive spring flower scents and plenty of lemon acidity. The wine has mid-palate softness, mouth-watering lemon-lime flavours and a touch of citrus curd. Attractive smoky, aged nuances are present on the palate, though the wine still looks incredibly youthful. It would make a beautiful accompaniment to oysters.

From the vineyard planted in '94. Everything exactly as you'd expect, and as it should be, is what you get here. Fresh lemon zesty aromas which almost prickle your nose, and an underlying minerally quality. Juicy palate, again with citrus being the dominant force, notes of lemongrass and other herbs in the mix. Bracing acidity is part of the deal and it's welcome.
