Vintage
The 2024 season delivered low yields and concentrated fruit across both Wrattonbully and Orange.
In Wrattonbully, an early frost reduced yields before a late-season heat event accelerated ripening. The white varieties developed rich, ripe fruit, with Chardonnay and Pinot Gris showing vibrant aromatics and a generous fruit profile. Lower red yields also produced wines of exceptional concentration and quality.
In Orange, a minor frost during fruit set naturally reduced the crop, allowing the vines to focus their energy on fewer bunches. Warmer summer conditions followed, producing fruit with finesse, focus and complex flavour. Cool nights at the high-altitude vineyards helped preserve freshness and balanced natural acidity throughout ripening.

Winemaking
Individual vineyard blocks were harvested separately and pressed immediately on arrival at the winery. The juice was cold settled, then racked off solids before fermentation.
Following inoculation, the juice was transferred to French oak puncheons to complete fermentation. The wine remained on yeast lees for eight months before the individual parcels were blended and prepared for bottling.
