Jane Faulkner - Halliday Wine Companion

Lots of enticement here, starting with its glimmering ruby hue, the heady aromatics and the general evenness across the palate. Plenty of cherry accents, a little macerated strawberry note, chinotto and all strewn with fresh herbs and a kick of spicy oak. It’s supple and tangy, tannins restrained, and it’s drinking well now.
