Ken Gargett - Winepilot

A far more traditional style of Shiraz here, the colour is a blood red/maroon. On the nose, we have attractive notes of chocolate, coffee beans, blackberries, plums and licorice. There is some complexity already evident and we can expect that to build in the coming years. The wine has focus and drive, is well balanced, and there is vibrant acidity as well. An intriguing and impressive style with lots to like, there is very good length here. Enjoy this over the next eight to twelve years. Top notch.

This is immediately appealing on the nose, with aromas of blackberry, rich floral notes, star anise, and roasted nuts. The palate is equally appealing with excellent weight, backed by fleshy texture and silky tannins, making it flavoursome and fabulously drinkable.
